Loveland Redi-Mix (LRM) has scheduled an informational meeting with LaPorte area citizens, for: Thursday, April 11th, 6:30 pm at the West Fort Collins Water District @ 2711 N Overland Trail in LaPorte, CO 80535. LRM has not signed a development agreement but has begun construction North of the Plantorium, regardless. Larimer County will not stop LRM from work without a court injunction.
The West Fort Collins Water District is a small facility. But, it is your right to be informed and to question the timeliness of activities despite the lack of a development agreement. It is your right to question what activities will occur next and who will get notified. It is your right to scrutinize every action that occurs by LRM and to inform, notify, and/or question the appropriate authorities if you become concerned.
Please make note of the first public meeting if you are able, to sit or stand and hear how “lovely” it is to have a gravel mine and batch plant as our neighbor, one promising to be a good neighbor but have already broken that promise by beginning work without a development agreement.
